Morgan Freeman wears a thong, co-star says

Associated Press
Sept. 19, 2005 08:16 AM

ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. - Boxers or briefs?

Becca Gardner got a backside view of co-star Morgan Freeman for a scene in "An Unfinished Life."

In the new movie directed by Lasse Hallstrom, Freeman plays a ranch hand who was mauled by a bear, making him dependent on morphine. Becca's character has to give him an injection. advertisement

"I was kind of nervous to see, like, his butt, and I pulled down his pants and he was wearing a thong!" the 15-year-old told the Associated Press in an interview.

"An Unfinished Life" also stars Robert Redford and Jennifer Lopez.

"Everybody else knows her as J.Lo, but I see her as Jennifer," Becca said. "Like they're two different people. She was like a big sister to me. She's so sweet and loving."

When Lopez asked Becca to name her favorite singer, "I told her Stevie Nicks and she said 'I only know one of her songs,' and she tried to sing the song, but she didn't know the words very well, so I had to teach her."

Becca, who was 13 when she won the role, said she was nervous about meeting Redford.

"I'm like 'Hi, Mr. Redford,' and he's like 'You can call me Bob.' I'm like 'OK. You can call me Becca.' I think of him as a stand-in grandpa."

When a man wears a thong it is called a jock strap. It was developed almost a century ago by the Jockey company, which has always called it an athletic supporter. It was considered a sort of badge of office among high school athletes, and that is why athletes are often called "jock strappers" or just "jocks".

Oh baby. I'm obviously buying the wrong kind of magazines; I never see ads like that!

Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sure I *should* be seeing ads like that in a board above the dungeon. Mods--should this thread be moved?
