My kids and their friends sometime tease me because I tend to think that either baking soda or vinegar can do pretty much anything/everything.

Oh gosh, that is primary knowledge for my generation.

Isn't it kind of sad that you have to prove it to them on the Net? I got a hardcopy book of that back in '68 at one of my bridal showers ( I probably still have it stored away). But, had already learned all of that through my teens in the 60's

Maybe Clorox is why we survived the Hong Kong flu of '68
