I've made a couple of changes today.

First, since I was doing an awful job of manually approving new membership requests, and I want new people to be able to join up and participate, I have re-enabled open membership. I'll keep this going for as long as it proves to have more upside than downside.

This does mean we will probably have more spammers. If you see one, just report it and somebody will take care of it. Thanks.

Spammers have learned that a "full-on assault" will be immediately deleted, so we now get hit with "soft spam", often in the form of new posters replying to old threads with fluff messages just to get their signature (with links) in the thread. To partially combat this, I have modified the software so that the signature of a poster does not display if they have under 25 posts.
