Actually I don't consider it much of a fireplace, except that it's not as ugly as other "new" sorts of fireplaces. There is nothing to replace the good old Rumford design for charm and efficiency. The pot-belly stove is almost as efficient, but somewhat lacking in charm. Anything else I have seen is not worth the trouble.

I wouldn't call it a fireplace either, more of a fire-vase.

It's still very pretty and engaging, I think.

For now, I'll make do with candles, though. :)

Yeah, it appears to be more decorative than anything else to me. I like my candles, too.

:lol: I've had candles that big, probably gave off as much heat, too. But, it is pretty. :)
