I'm having big time problems with Firefox. And have been for weeks now. I will have three or more tabs ready for browsing if I need to switch sites. I keep getting this message that tells me I am closing so and so many tabs and I have a choice to cancel or close. I don't care how many times I hit cancel the warning box stays open until I get pissed of and finally close all tabs.

Is anyone else having this problem? Also certain threads on this forum and others will close my browser when I try to open the thread. Kathy CA, if your reading I wasn't able to read your OMG thread cause every time I try my browser kicks off.

I'm at my wits end and if I don't find a soultion to this soon I am going back to Explorer as bad as I hate too.

What are you doing that causes the message to come up, and what exactly is it?

I am usually just clicking to read a thread. Sometimes I am not doing anything at all.

A box will pop up saying something like this.....You are trying to close three tabs, do you wish to close them.....Yes or Cancel.

AO, it has happen so often today that I am about ready to go down to the dungeon and get drunk!!

Personally, if you like a tabbed interface for browse windows you should try Slimbrowser.

I have been with it since v. 2.8 or so and it works great.

I'm willing to try anything. I'll do a search and check it out. Thanks.

I have used Netscape 7.1 and now 7.2 to do this for a long time. No problems.

I open up the main page, then open all the sub-fourms, then open the individual threads from each sub-fourm that interest me. I often have 30-50 tabs open at once. I then start at the far right reading and closing tabs as I go. As I type this, I have 26 tabs open...

On the firefox top menu tool bar ckick help, then click search. Then type in the word ( tabs ) then read about what you're doing wrong or not wrong,at least see all the instructions for tabs.
There are some key brd. short cuts..
Good luck......

Im note useing tabs and so i have had no problems with firefox of any kind YET..??

Thank all of you for your help. I am trying out the Slimbrowser now. Pretty cool, looks a lot like Netscape. Easy to use. Lots of thrill buttons, which I love to explore btw. Does seem to be slow at loading website pages but, I'm holding out the verdict on how I like it for a few days. Got to give it a work out first. ;)

Potekmin, about that voice email program that is offered. If I download it and use it will my family and friends be able to hear me if they do not use Slimbrowser?

I haven't used it myself. I use SlimBrowser and BlazeFTP however.

From looking at it, it appears the product combines a mailer and a recording program. You record the "voice e-mail", it is saved as a .mp3 file, and gets mailed.

Of course, mp3s can be played many different ways on the other end.

Speaking of Slimbrowser, make sure you look at "Clean Trace". It is at Tools/Clean Trace/Clean All Trace.

It scrubs everything. If you haven't cleaned up in a while it might take some time.
