I don’t understand this. What is someone giving up? Life, eating? Maybe death is a better option. If I was a quadriplegic I would seriously contemplate death. Maybe giving up is a better option. Doesn’t it depend on the situation?
Don't we all give up in the end and give into death?

Robert. Good point. To each his own. However, there are so many times when one has reached the end of their rope and along comes a wonderful opportunity to get back on their feet and advance more as time goes on. This wouldn't have happened had the person chose to cop out and end his life. Points to ponder.

Makes me think of my nephew, he gave up, and we struggle wondering why. We miss him very much. At this time of year it's very hard on my sister-in-law. She seems to be moving on with her life though. Yet the wonder is still there.
