Visitng the site caused me to remeber an old friend who has long ago died. He brought back an Arisaka when he returned to the US after WWII. One day he was messing around with it and got the bolt jammed in a bad way. He phoned me and asked me to come fix it for him. It took me about an hour to coax it out and put it back in correctly. It made him very happy. I felt very good seeing him go from really upset and concerned to happy and without a care. His kids were all older than me and hated me for how their dad doted on me as if I were his favoured son and not just a neighborhood kid he let come around. If they had shown interest in his interests, they'd have felt that attention too. Some folks just don't get it.

Heh! All that from a gun site. Aren't memories funny?
